FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

QUAD BIKING

Can I bring my own bike?

We do not allow guests to bring their own bikes. This is for safety concerns and for keeping control over our tours, especially since we travel in a National Park and want to make sure everyone always respects the rules.

What kind of quad bikes do you offer?

We offer 250cc Honda tm semi automatic quad bikes

Are the tours private?

Quad bike tours are not private and should your time coincide with another booking we often group tours together. Should you specifically request a private tour, please mention that when booking.

TRANSPORTATION

Do you provide a pick-up service?

Yes, we do. On selected tours we offer a free pick-up. If a pick-up service is not included in your tour you can request one from us, at an additional charge. Please email us should you have any questions. Note that it is your responsibility to wait at reception if you are waiting for a pick-up service. The driver will not wait for you if you are late.

I have my own vehicle, where do I park?

Parking is available at our Adventure Centre and is easily accessible via any vehicle-type. Although the area is safe we do not have private security in our parking area. Remember to remove all valuable belongings out of site, or leave them at your hotel.

CANCELLATIONS

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations should be done at least 24 hours in advance to result in a full refund – this is for most tours. However, some tours may have a different policy. Please email us should you have specific questions relating to a tour.

ANIMALS & ENVIRONMENT

Don’t you damage the environment with your quad biking?

We have permits to travel in Namib Naukluft Park. We deeply care for our desert, as it is our office. For this reason, we have guided routes and do not permit reckless riding by our guests. Riding on the dunes is perfectly fine, as wind soon covers our tracks. Riding on hard areas are not permitted, as those tracks will stay in the ground for much longer times, we know which areas to avoid.

What about the camels, is it okay to ride them?

Camels have the capacity to carry people – we have a weight limit of 98 kg and do not allow our camels to walk for more that 30 minutes at a time. We take good care of our camels and guests are always accompanied by an experienced guide to make sure no one takes advantage of our animals.
